Author: Roald Dahl Ages: 8-12 When you live in a very small, old, wooden house, chances are low that you will win one of five golden tickets to an extraordinary candy factory. When Charlie Bucket wins a golden ticket, he is more surprised than anyone! Charlie, a poor child eating cabbage soup for every meal, never even dared dream about winning one of the five golden tickets to Willy Wonka's factory. Just as it says on the ticket, tremendous things are in store for Charlie. Discovering secrets along the way, this story has as many surprises as the chocolate factory itself. The surprise ending is going to have you on the edge of your seat when Mr. Willy Wonka tells Charlie the best surprise anyone can get. Your mouth will be watering as this scrum-diddly-umptious story continues. This book is one of my all time favorites. Full of surprises, Roald Dahl's most famous book tells the tale of am amazing boy. Roald Dahl is probably my favorite author. I hope you cherish this book as much as I do. Happy Reading!

Stars: 5 Author: Mary Pope Osborne Shhhhhhhh!!! Maggie just walked away from her computer. Shhhhh!!! Don't tell Maggie but she still has not reviewed one of MY favorite series...Magic Treehouse! I am Sydney and I am 7...almost 8. I'm Maggie's younger sister and I love reading also! Magic Treehouse wasn't one of Maggie's favorites and so I've decided to review it because I just can't get enough of this series. In this series, you will meet Jack and Annie. Jack is 8 and loves to read. (sound familiar?) Annie is 7 and is always friendly with animals they meet. Every kid dreams about having a magic treehouse like Jack and Annie. Jack and Annie begin every adventure with a trip to their treehouse and making a wish on a book to travel somewhere. They have to solve mysteries along the way and get mixed up in so many fun adventures. But, some are worse than others. What I like best about this series is I learn facts about people and places while reading fiction which makes it fun. So many of my friends and classmates like this series too and I highly recommend it! I think you should try and read this series in order because it makes more sense understanding their story. I hope you liked my review and remember - don't tell Maggie I was here! BYE!!!! |
