I had a request from someone that wanted book ideas for younger readers, so I decided to do a list of some books I liked when I was little.
The Pigeon Series (K-1st) This funny series by Mo Williams is great for kindergarteners and first graders. They are stories of Pigeon and the crazy activities he tries to do like drive a bus or get a walrus. I mean...he's a Pigeon! Piggie and Elephant (K-1st) These silly stories of friendship between Piggie and Elephant are sure to be a book series that will become a household favorite. These are great good-night stories or a book to just snuggle up and read out loud. Angelina Ballerina{K- 2nd} This series is a good one for dance lovers. These are stories of a mouse (who acts like a human) who loves ballet. Dr. Seuss Books{ Read Aloud or 2nd and up} These are great read aloud books for parents or older siblings to read to younger readers. Dr. Seuss books are really fun but they have complicated tongue twisters. Its a win-win because you get some quality time together. Books by Eric Carle (preschool - K) this author has many famous picture books, like: The Very Hungry Caterpillar Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? The Grouchy Ladybug
